Event Highlights:
Part of the Denver Fat Tire Festival, spectators and racers alike will enjoy the hot racing action and recreational rides and clinics going on at this fun venue. There will be industry exposition tents with product sampling, and raffles going on. Bring your cowbells or noisemakers and see what Front Range racing is all about! Kick off the mountain bike racing season in Colorado by bringing the family and kids out to this annual spring ritual of off-road fun. Event Details:
Saturday, May 7. 9th annual XC Race. 2:00 pm start.  No license required to race. Starting in the afternoon after the FR 60 race has completed, BTB participants get a taste of championship competition with their own race and open course. A neutral support / feed zone will be provided at Coyote Crossing. Spectators and support crews can set up tents in the feed zone. Team vehicles can park in the Expo up top if you're in by 7:00 am. Otherwise, all racer parking is down below. Races will start down at the Fisherman's parking staging area.

KIDZ ZONE Activities:  
Bring the family and enjoy the expanded Free Kidz Zone activities throughout the day - with our annual Warriors Kids World Championship Races highlighting the afternoon - sorry gotta' be 12 or younger to enter!

Free Warriors Kids Race:

Saturday 12:30pm. A free Warriors Kids Race will be presented for those 12 and under at the start/finish area. All kids will receive a finishing medal. Kids must be accompanied by a parent and can register at the race site. All participants must wear helmet.

Location:
Bear Creek Lake Park 15600 W. Morrison Road: 303.697.6159 Take C-470 to Morrison Rd exit, east to park entrance on south side of Morrison Rd. Proceed east inside park to Coyote Crossing.

Entry Fee:
$45 Includes post-race meal and awards 3 deep in all categories.  

Course Description:
Tire and tube Sealant is strongly recommended! Choose where to pass wisely as goat heads are prevalent. The course will be the same one as the FR60 which is being run clockwise this year and is 10 miles in length featuring 5 short climbs and lots of rolling singletrack. Camping:
Camping is available at the Park with tables and firepits, on a first come basis, for a nominal fee. Inquire upon entrancing the Park.

Lodging:
Stay at the Sheraton Denver West link here: www.sheratondenverwest.com/denver-fat-tire-festival  and enjoy discounted racer rate of $95 per night with hot breakfast buffet for two. 

Pit Zone:
There will be a refreshment station with Hammer Gels, fruit, cookies, bagels, and coolers of Hammer Heed and water that you can stop and fill your own bottles with. You may stage your own bottles in the feed zone as well.

Beginner - Men, Women, and Juniors      10 Miles
Sport - Men, Women, Juniors 20 Miles
The Pits
The Expert/Pro Category distance is now the Half Marathon Race which is 30 miles and will start at 2:00 PM just before the start of the Battle the Bear race - which is for sport and beginner racers. See the FR 60 page for more information on the Half Marathon Expert Race.

Oskar Blues Awards Ceremony:
Awards Ceremony, refreshments, raffle and food will take place at 5pm and custom awards given 3 deep in all categories.

Pre-Registration:
Online registration see link above. Online pre-registration cut-off is midnight on Wednesday, May 4th. Pre-registered mail-in entries must be received by Monday, May 2nd.
Pre-registration is also available Friday May 6th from 4-7pm at Green Mountain Sports located at 12364 W. Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, 80228. Click here for Google Map

Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup:
Cross Country race day registration and packet pick-up will be Saturday, May 7th at Bear Creek Lake Park race site (Coyote Crossing) in Lakewood, Colorado from 12:00pm - 1:30pm. Racers must register at least one-hour prior to start. On-site registration fee of $10 will be assessed for race-day registrations.

Bear Creek Lake Park Entrance Fee:
There is a $5 per racer venue fee upon entering park.

Free Warriors Kids Race:
