Race Update 8/30
What a way to end the season - it's now a pool party!  Saturday's shenanigans with the Oskar Blues PV pre-race party include, get this - a pool at the Ranch!  Come out a day early and ride the course and join us in the campgrounds for a splash in the pool, racer potluck and smores in the stone fireplace in Gillwell Hall.  Anyone up for a campground night ride? Bring your lights! When Oskar Blues is in the house, who knows what could happen...

Race Update 8/29
As a way of thanking our Pros this season, we are returning 100% of Pro Entry Fees to their prizelist.  1st-3rd will receive 50%-30%-20% of the purse. Many racers pre-rode the course this past weekend and it is exciting to see lines being ridden in.  Trying to estimate what a fast race lap time will be was a point of discussion and the prediction is somewhere around 1:40.  Showers are available to all racers - bring towel and soap.  Saturday night racer potluck dinner! Bring a dish to share in the dining hall, enjoy the wood fire, make smores and mingle with your friends around the stone fireplace.

Race Update 8/19  Final course prep on the 22 mile loop is being done by our course designer Jeff Vanderlinden and it is a real treat. Destined to become a cult classic, it has a similar feel to Laramie and feels like you're riding through a game preserve. Three antelope bucks are amongst the herd that hangs out on the ranch, while red-tail hawks patrol the skies. This course will reward the rider who can keep his speed through a variety of terrain.

Refer to specific paragraphs below as we update information, start times, camping and pre-ride information.

Event Highlights:
Race #5. Held outside the quaint village of Elbert on the Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch, this venue harkens back to a time of windmills and cowboys. Intimate camping at the venue offers a well - peaceful, setting in which to crown the Series Champions. The 22 mile loop winds through low hills of Black Forest and Ponderosa Pine, which is sure to put a big ring grin on competitors faces as this private course is a real delight. The views of Pikes Peak and rolling prairie are memorable. Join us in the rustic dining hall for post race supper and Oskar Blues Awards Ceremony. The quiet, back in time feeling at the Ranch makes it a great opportunity to bring the family and enjoy the solitude in the woods.
Free Warriors Kid's race will take place at the finish line at 2:00pm.
